What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site owner. Cookies help us recognise your device on return visits and remember choices made on the website.
Types of Cookies We Use
We use the following categories of cookies on elan-tech.net:
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration | Required? |
|---|---|---|---|
theme (local storage) | Remembers the visitor's light or dark display preference. | Session or until you clear site storage | Yes |
elan:privacy-consent (local storage) | Records the selected privacy categories, policy version and decision time. It does not contain a name, email address or advertising identifier. | Until the visitor clears site storage or the consent version changes | Yes |
lp-bar-ganesh-2026 (local storage) | Remembers dismissal of the current campaign announcement. | Until the visitor clears site storage | Yes |
digibizid-slide-seen (session storage) | Prevents the same venture announcement from repeatedly appearing during one browser session. | Browser session | Yes |
_ga, _ga_*, _gid and _gat* | Google Analytics 4 audience, session and consented enquiry/intent measurement, delivered through the Google tag. | Varies by cookie; _ga may last up to two years | No - consent required |
_clck, _clsk and Microsoft-domain Clarity cookies | Microsoft Clarity usage measurement and session analysis. | Varies by cookie and browser settings | No - consent required |
Third-Party Cookies
Some pages on our website include content from third-party services that may set their own cookies:
- Google Analytics 4: the Google tag loads only after analytics consent, to understand traffic and measure confirmed form enquiries and separate phone/WhatsApp clicks. Contact details and arbitrary URL query strings are not sent by our custom events. Governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Clarity: used to understand how visitors use our pages. Governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Calendly: appointment scheduling on our consultation page. The Calendly script, embedded calendar and its third-party cookies remain blocked until you select “Load Calendly & Choose a Time”. Calendly then processes the connection and booking under its own privacy and cookie terms. You may use our direct contact options without loading it.
- Razorpay: hosted payment options on our pricing and paid-audit sections. Razorpay remains blocked until you acknowledge the payment notice and select “Load secure payment options”. Razorpay may then use its own cookies or similar storage under itsPrivacy Policy.
Optional analytics remain off unless you actively allow them. Google advertising storage, advertising-user data and advertising personalisation remain denied. We do not control the names or lifetimes of cookies set on third-party domains, so provider documentation should also be reviewed.
Managing Cookies
elan:lead-conversion-pending is short-lived session storage used to distinguish a successful form redirect from a direct thank-you-page visit. It contains only a form label and timestamp, is eligible for measurement for five minutes, and does not bypass analytics consent.
You have several options for managing cookies:
- Browser settings: most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via Settings > Privacy. Note that blocking essential cookies may affect site functionality.
- Privacy & cookie settings: use the control available in the website footer or the floating privacy button to accept, reject or withdraw optional analytics permission.
Rejecting analytics does not affect your ability to use the core features of our website.
Consent Record and Withdrawal
The website records only the selected analytics preference, consent-policy version and decision times in your browser’s local storage. It does not use that record as proof of identity. You can reopen “Privacy & cookie settings” at any time and reject analytics. When optional analytics have already loaded, the website updates the consent state and reloads the page to stop further optional collection; provider cookies already stored may also be removed through browser settings.
Cookie Inventory Review
Cookie names and durations can change when a provider updates its software or when the website’s configuration changes. We review the deployed tags and this table when adding or materially changing a form, embed, analytics service, campaign tool or payment provider. Unknown optional tags should not be enabled until they have been classified and documented.
Do Not Track
We detect supported Global Privacy Control (GPC) and browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals and keep optional analytics off by default. The privacy interface remains available so you can make a separate, explicit choice for analytics on this website. Choosing analytics does not enable advertising storage, advertising-user data or advertising personalisation. You may withdraw the choice at any time.
