Our Story
24 Years of Building the Web
Our operations began in 2002 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, as a freelance and startup unit - at a time when having a website was still a novelty for most Indian businesses. Our founder, Nishant Barde, saw an opportunity to help local businesses establish a credible online presence. That early work created the foundation for eLan Technology, officially launched on 15 August 2005.
Over the years, we expanded our capabilities far beyond web design. We built complex web applications, enterprise portals, eCommerce platforms, and School ERP systems. We started serving clients not just in Nagpur, but across Raipur, Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi - and then internationally, with clients in the USA, Canada, Australia, UAE, UK, Saudi Arabia, and Japan.
Through every phase of growth, we have held firm to one principle: accessibility first. Every website we build is designed with WCAG compliance in mind, ensuring that the digital experiences we create are usable by everyone - regardless of ability, device, or connection speed.
Today, eLan Technology brings together expertise in web design, custom Shopify and Medusa.js commerce, web development, accessibility, digital marketing, mobile applications, and branding - with the same independent, problem-solving spirit that shaped our earliest work.

2002–2004
Freelance & Startup Roots
Operations began in Nagpur as a freelance and startup unit, building early websites for local businesses and establishing the experience behind the company.
15 Aug 2005
Official Launch
eLan Technology officially launched on India’s Independence Day, carrying forward the independent spirit, client relationships, and technical foundation built since 2002.
2006–2008
Dynamic Web Era
Expanded into dynamic web development with PHP and MySQL, grew the team, and started serving businesses across Maharashtra.
2009–2013
Going Mobile-First
Embraced responsive, mobile-first design early. Landed our first international clients in the USA and UK. Started building custom CMS solutions.
2014–2018
Full-Stack & Marketing
Transitioned to full-stack JavaScript development. Launched digital marketing, SEO, and branding services. Built enterprise portals and School ERP systems.
2019–2022
Global Expansion
Expanded our work on association portals and continued serving clients in India and international markets including the USA, Canada, Australia and the UAE.
2023–Present
Custom Commerce, AI & Accessibility
Expanded our focus on custom Shopify and Medusa.js commerce, AI-assisted engineering, WCAG and ADA accessibility, and performance-focused frameworks including Astro and Next.js.
